Slide gloves

I made a pair of slide gloves for longboarding.
What i used is work gloves, velcro, neoprene glue and nylon pucks - 95x75x30 mm -.
















Actually I'm not sure if I bought nylon (AB)
or policarbonate (PC) ... I don't even know the difference!
I read on the net that any "plastic" gives you different performances.
I tested plexiglass and it's very slidy and hard, it doesn't warm even on thick pucks.
The new pucks are softer.

I smoothed the bottomside edges and scratched the upside face
to glue it better to the velcro.















The glue seemed to work good on the glove, quite well on the pluck.
Since it's gummy it should hold for long time.




























Velcro works great; maybe the pucks are too fat,
but i don't have problems to grab the board during the slides

Globe Occy Bamboo - review

Il primo longboard per un accanito di street, mio fratello vi da le sue opinioni riguardo una tavola ideale per chi comincia. "Premettendo che mi sono sempre cimentato nello street e che forse non ho le appropriate nozioni per descrivere i caratteri del mio long, proverò comunque a presentarvelo! OccyBamboo fa parte della nuova serie di tavole della Globe . Ho deciso di acquistarla perché è un modello accessibile e di buona qualità. La Occy non ha grandi dimensioni (misura solo 9" x 36") e a differenza di quanto mi aspettassi è robusta e abbastanza rigida. Ciò non mi allontana del tutto dal feeling delle tavole da street ma con ruote da 70 mm 83a, truck Slant RKP da 150 mm (con grafica a tema) e cuscinetti Globe abec 7 si guadagna molta fluidità e stabilità nel ride, riuscendo ancora a divertirsi grazie alla reattività dei truck non troppo larghi, al wheelbase contenuto e al piccolo kick. My all around setup - Earthwing Crewzer 38

Depending on your style, this board can handle anything! Quite agile in the pool, yet stable bombing a hill (the 19"wb makes it sketchy but fun!). The nose and the tail are less steep than a common street deck to have a nice pop even with bigger wheels. Sliding and freeriding is extrimely fun and easy: I could work on my stand ups and find my stance as soon as I stepped on the board. May add some rising pad to skate loose but the wheel wells still do their job, matching perfectly with the indys. I'm currently running a set of Independent 169 trucks, Abec11 retro freeride 86a / 3dm cambria 62mm 78a.

Caliber trucks Plugs

While chopping down two tall barrel bushings, we thought that the cut off rests could be reused to make a pair of plugs. The new generation of Calibers have a round KP hole, which makes the hangar free to lean. there is enough space to fit the plug, we just sanded a bit the paint on the bore. a new generation hangar on top and an old one below. After roughly cutting the bushing with a knife (definitely not the best way to do that!) we put the slice in the bushing seat. We marked the edges with a marker and trimmed with the knife again to the kp hole diameter. The slice is about 2/3 mm thick, we sanded and smoothed all the corners on the grip of a skateboard.   May pe patient sanding little by little and checking oftet if the plug fits the hangar hole. we used a very hard bushing, which was easier to cut and sand, and may last longer. the plug in place, ready to ride The plug avoids side-to-side play in the hangar.
